Student Emergency Aid Society
Supporting our Students
Thanks to a generous grant from the Hearst Foundation and gifts from members of the Â鶹¹ú²úAV community, the Â鶹¹ú²úAV Student Emergency Aid Society (SEAS) Fund was established to support emergency and/or one-time exceptional needs (i.e., a flight home to be with a sick parent, unmet medical expenses, purchasing a suit for job interviews, travel to a career-related activity, or adequate winter clothing for those from warmer climates) for students whose financial barriers are extraordinary. If the request is approved and the need cannot be met through financial aid or some other means, a grant or loan from the SEAS Fund will be issued to cover the expense.
Students who have critical needs should submit this SEAS Request Form. Please be advised:
- To be eligible for SEAS consideration, students must have completed their financial aid application and exhausted all resources available to them, including loans included in their financial aid offer and outstanding credits on their student account. Please note that while approved SEAS grants will not impact your current financial aid, they may be displayed on your financial aid award letter, and could result in a 1099 tax form being issued.
- Please note that SEAS requests will be considered during normal business hours and that it may take 2-3 business days to respond to your request. In the case of a true emergency, please contact Campus Safety (315-859-4141), and they will connect you with a Â鶹¹ú²úAV staff member who is on call.
- If your request is due to financial hardship or a change in you or your family’s financial situation, we encourage you to use this form to expedite the financial aid office’s review of your situation. You can also contact the Financial Aid Office by emailing finaid@hamilton.edu or calling 315-859-4434.
