You are invited to submit materials to document your special talent(s), including solo music performances, theatre performances, dance performances, and visual artwork.

Submissions should be initiated through your applicant portal and are expected to be received by the deadline posted in the portal. A short summary of the requirements for each type of special talent can be found below.

Art

  • Students can link to 8-20 images of drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures or other visual artwork through Flickr. Each image requires a title, description, date, dimensions, and materials used.
  • Students must describe their plans for artistic involvement in college and provide a short Artist’s Statement.

Dance

  • Students can link to 1-5 videos on YouTube or Vimeo. Submissions should not exceed five minutes total.
  • Students must describe their plans for dance involvement in college, provide a summary of their training and/or expertise (including instructor names and length of training), and describe their roles in any submitted work. Submitting company work is not recommended unless the student is a featured performer.

Music

  • Students can link to 1-5 videos or audio files on YouTube, Vimeo, or SoundCloud.
  • Students must categorize their submission as primarily orchestral music, vocal music, jazz, keyboard, folk/traditional, composition, or other (to facilitate the assignment of the correct faculty reviewer). Students may complete submissions in more than one of these categories.
  • Students must describe their plans for music involvement in college, provide a summary of their training and experience (including instructor names and length of training), and describe their roles in any submitted work.
  • Do not submit full orchestral, band, or choral recordings unless you are a featured soloist; if so, please specify your solo.

Theatre

  • Students can link to 1-5 videos on YouTube or Vimeo. Submissions should not exceed five minutes total. Students should include two contrasting monologues.
  • Students must describe their plans for theatre involvement in college, provide a summary of their training and/or expertise (including instructor names and length of training), and describe their roles in any submitted work. Submitting company work is not recommended unless the student is a featured performer.
