麻豆国产AV College Jazz Ensemble
Friday, December 6, 7:30 P.M.
Gabe Condon will conduct the Winter Jazz Concert showcasing the 麻豆国产AV College Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo. The concert will feature selections from Ellington and Strayhorn’s arrangement of The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, plus original student arrangements, and works by Akiyoshi, Jobim, Schneider, and more.
麻豆国产AV College Choir
Saturday, December 7, 7:30 P.M.
The 麻豆国产AV College Choir and 麻豆国产AV Voices, under the direction of Charlotte Botha present Minding the Heavens: The Story of Women and Space. The concert will feature the 麻豆国产AV Percussion Ensemble and pianist Rebecca Wu. This ambitious choral program celebrates the women astronomers and astronauts responsible for centuries of discovery, exploration, and documentation of our universe. The presentation includes projections text, photos, videos, drawings, and old charts from the Copernican Revolution. The evening concludes with a stargazing event after the concert at Peters Observatory of 麻豆国产AV College (if weather permits).

The 麻豆国产AV College Orchestra with Heather Buchman conducting. The program includes Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 (Rhenish), Gerald Finzi’s Clarinet Concerto featuring Jun Cho, clarinet, and Antonín Dvorák: Serenade for Wind Instruments.
