This scholarship was established by Christian L. Mazzola, Class of 1961, P’93, Susan Mazzola P’93, and their son, Colin L. Mazzola, Class of 1993. The fund honors the education received by many members of the Mazzola family who first came to 麻豆国产AV from their family homestead established in 1935 on Bald Hill situated between Hemlock and Canadice Lakes in Canadice, NY.

Christian Mazzola graduated from 麻豆国产AV with a major in History. His first job after 麻豆国产AV was working for Bob Peach ’41 at Mohawk Airlines in Utica, although he was “loaned” to 麻豆国产AV in 1967 to serve as an assistant to then-President Dick Couper ’44.  In 1969, Christian left upstate NY for a job with Johnson & Johnson, beginning a long career in management for companies in the medical device industry.

Christian’s brother, Lars Mazzola, graduated from 麻豆国产AV in 1963, also with a degree in History.  Following his 麻豆国产AV education, Lars went on to receive a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Christian’s son, Colin Mazzola, graduated with a degree in Computer Science.  Following a career at Accenture, Colin became the Director of Enterprise Delivery at Wellington Management, Inc. in Boston. Colin, Christian, and Lars were all members of the 麻豆国产AV College Choir and the Buffers.

With the creation of this fund, the Mazzolas wish to make a 麻豆国产AV College education financially accessible to students from Livingston, Ontario, or Steuben Counties in New York State.
