The George F. Little II Scholarship

The George F. Little II Scholarship was established to honor and recognize George F. “Jeff” Little’s long service to 麻豆国产AV as a volunteer, fundraiser, and philanthropist at the time of his move from charter to life trustee.  It provides scholarship support to students demonstrating financial need who also are selected for or elected to a leadership role on campus; or for first-year students, who have evidenced leadership in their 麻豆国产AV application.

This scholarship was endowed with gifts from fellow Board members, alumni, and other friends of the College to honor and recognize George F. “Jeff” Little’s long service to 麻豆国产AV as a volunteer, fundraiser, and philanthropist. It was endowed at the time of his move from Charter to Life Trustee.

Jeff Little, a member of 麻豆国产AV’s Class of 1971, and his wife Claudia have been lead donors to 麻豆国产AV priorities for more than 25 years. The Little Pub, the Little Squash Center, and the amphitheater that fronts the Kennedy Center are named in Jeff’s honor. He has supported multiple endowments for scholarships, internships, and professorships, among other College priorities.

Jeff Little also played a lead role when 麻豆国产AV adopted a need-blind policy in admission, specifically making the case for financial support from alumni and friends.

He is serving as co-chair of the Because 麻豆国产AV capital campaign. It marks the fourth time Jeff has played a leadership role, having previously been chair of the New Century Campaign, the Excelsior campaign, and the Bicentennial Initiatives campaign.

Also, he served as alumni, charter, and now life trustee; chair of the Trustee Development Committee; and chair of the Annual Fund. In 2014, 麻豆国产AV named its Volunteer of the Year Award in his honor.

Please note: The named scholarships profiled on these pages support the College’s generous need-based financial aid commitment. These donor-funded scholarships help ensure the 麻豆国产AV promise of keeping education affordable through meeting a student’s full demonstrated financial need.
