Assistant Dean for Accessibility Resources Allen Harrison coordinates individualized accommodations and support services for any student who has a documented need.

Students seeking special arrangements due to a disability should provide a recent evaluation conducted by a specialist in the appropriate field. It should include a specific diagnosis, information regarding onset, longevity and severity of symptoms, and evidence of how the disability and/or related medications and treatments interfere or limit any major life activity (participation in the courses, programs and activities of the college), and recommended accommodations. For those who do not have an evaluation, students should complete the disability registration form and have their clinician complete the disability certification form.

Dean Harrison will use the information provided and consult with faculty and qualified experts as needed to help the student develop a system of support—appropriate to his/her needs. Requests for academic adjustments should be made well in advance of the start of each semester. Preferable submission dates for requests at the start of each semester are July 1 for the fall term and January 1 for spring.

Additionally, support is available to students through the Writing CenterQuantitative & Symbolic Reasoning Center, Language Center, and Oral Communication Center.
