Anna Huff Mercovich.

Assistant Professor of Digital Arts Anna Huff will present a live performance and video installation at in Brattleboro, Vt., on Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m. The performance is in connection with “Home Bodies: Fawn Krieger and David B. Smith,” a collaboration with the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center.

The Shapes We Leave Behind was created by Huff and New York City artist Fawn Krieger, a creator of sculptures, props, and costumes. In it, they use digitized and tactile sculptural objects, along with sound and multimedia performance, to explore how live bodies and voice engage with physical forms, from screens to stage and back again.

The piece incorporates Krieger’s ceramic sculptures, which the artists scanned as moveable 3D objects, making them both the set and the characters inhabiting it. “Through haunting operatic vocals, static and illusory sculptural components and costumes, and green-screen projections, The Shapes We Leave Behind contemplates digital presence and absence through meditations on mounds, shapes and transmutation, mortality, and light,” according to the event announcement.

Epsilon Spires is located at 190 Main Street in Brattleboro.
