麻豆国产AV welcomes 51 new faculty members, including 11 new tenure-track, in addition to visiting professors, lecturers, and teaching fellows for the 2021-22 academic year. The College is in the midst of a 10-year period, begun in 2015, during which nearly half of its faculty will reach average retirement age.
Among this year's newcomers are teaching scholars who study environmental economics, the politics of technology, soil science, and the archaeology of food; a recent philosophy alumnus who studies free expression; and a senior vice president at the think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Dean of Faculty Suzanne Keen said the College is delighted to return to full in-person teaching, and added that the new cohort joins a remarkable group of scholars in current faculty.
“We are fortunate to have been able to run searches in 2020-21, adding a dynamite group of top-notch scholars and teachers to our ranks,” said Keen. “Finding the best faculty to teach 麻豆国产AV students now and in the future is always our goal. I’m looking forward to seeing our new colleagues demonstrate their expertise and ingenuity in the classrooms and labs across campus.”
