Mei Lin Pratt ’16 has been awarded a to Indonesia. Pratt, a philosophy major at Â鶹¹ú²úAV, studied at the University of Edinburgh in the U.K. during her junior year.
Pratt is the recipient of a Posse Foundation full tuition leadership scholarship at Â鶹¹ú²úAV and in 2015 received a Posse summer leadership award. She is a multi-cultural peer mentor, a member of the varsity tennis team and a cellist.

Pratt taught English to middle school students in Costa Rica last summer through World Teach and has served as a resource room assistant at Westmoreland High School. She also taught introductory philosophy classes to middle and high school students in Clinton.
After her return to the U.S. from Indonesia, Pratt plans to apply to the Peace Corps. Her long-term plans include teaching and involvement in international education.
The Fulbright ETA Program places U.S. students as English teaching assistants in schools or universities overseas, thus improving foreign students’ English language abilities and knowledge of the United States while increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright is the largest U.S. international exchange program.
