Heather Kropp

Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Heather Kropp received a Top Cited Paper Award for North America in 2024 from IOP Publishing.

Kropp received the award for her paper titled "Shallow soils are warmer under trees and tall shrubs across Arctic and Boreal ecosystems" in the journal Environmental Research Letters. Kropp's paper was in the top 10 most cited IOP articles from 2021-2023 in the field of environmental science.

Kucinskas, Strong Awarded $346K NSF Grant to Study Rural Perceptions of Climate Action

Associate Professor of Sociology Jaime Kucinskas and Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Aaron Strong were awarded a National Science Foundation grant from the Sociology Program. Under the five-year $346,149 grant, they will study rural community perceptions of climate action pathways in New York, New Zealand, and Sweden.
