Candice McCardle ’15 has been awarded a to Malaysia. A public policy major she studied abroad in Vietnam, South Africa, and Brazil through the School for International Training’s Honors Program in spring 2014.
The Fulbright ETA Program, an element of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, places U.S. students as English teaching assistants in schools or universities overseas, thus improving foreign students’ English language abilities and knowledge of the United States while increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country. ETAs may also pursue individual study/research plans in addition to their teaching responsibilities.
McCardle has been a resident advisor at 麻豆国产AV since the 2012 academic year. During the summer of 2013 she was a development intern at the Chinese-American Planning Council in Manhattan. At 麻豆国产AV she is a greenhouse assistant in the college’s Science Center greenhouse. McCardle is an active member of 麻豆国产AV’s Global Health Organization and FACE AIDS Chapter; concertmaster of the College’s Symphony Orchestra; executive board member of the Pre-Law Society; a sexual assault peer advocate; a multi-cultural peer mentor; and a 麻豆国产AV College Community Farm volunteer work group leader.
She is the daughter of Timothy and Mary McCardle of Webster, N.Y. and a graduate of Webster Thomas High School.
