Stephanie A. Dhuman's research and teaching focus on race and racism, Latinx (im)migration, sexuality, and family, and has been published in Sociology of Race and EthnicityEthnic and Racial Studies, and Sociological Inquiry. Dhuman is currently working on research related to Puerto Rican migration and experiences with citizenship and belonging, sociopolitical agency within racialized organizations using the country’s largest homeowners' association, and ethnoracial disparities in agency efforts to promote biological family ties among adolescent youth in foster care. At the University of Florida, she earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in sociology, with focus in the substantive areas of race/ethnicity and Latinx sociology.
