Patrick Joseph Caoile holds a B.A. in English from Saint Peter's University, M.A. in English from Seton Hall University, and Ph.D. in English with a creative writing focus from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In addition to the Gothic and pop culture, his research interests include postcolonial, migration, and diaspora studies, specifically through Filipino American and contemporary American immigrant literary contexts. Similarly, Caoile’s creative writing examines the Filipino American experience through characters navigating their fragmented lives between the homeland and the U.S., literally and figuratively. He is published in storySouth, Porter House Review, and the anthology Growing Up Filipino 3. Born in the Philippines, Caoile grew up in northern New Jersey.
