Academic Year in Spain
Learn by Exploring
Students experience Madrid in ways that complement their academics. They may take on volunteer work, take trips led by an art history professor or socialize with their peers from Spain.
Internships for Credit
Students who opt for the program’s internship course are usually the most satisfied with their time abroad. They receive credit for working at least 60 hours a semester at a nongovernment organization of their choice. During a recent semester, a Hispanic studies and education major taught a foreign language in a local school and several pre-med students completed an internship in a local hospital.
Academic Mentors
A faculty member helps each student select their courses keeping their majors – and their intellectual curiosity – in mind.
