Arthur Carlyle’s research focuses on the metaphysics of science, identity, and death. Specifically, Carlyle is interested in how various metaphysical theories (e.g., the nature of objects, identity, etc.) affect our understanding of the human condition, as well as practical human concerns and practices (such as death, science, ethics, and medicine.) He received his Ph.D. at the University of Leeds, UK, in 2021, after previously getting his master's degree at the University of Kansas in 2016. Carlyle received his B.A. in 2014 at Hartwick College, where he also currently lectures.
